Funny Chilembo is a District Manager who joined YONECO in 2005 as a Field Officer. In 2007 Funny Chilembo served as an Assistant Project Officer until 2012 when she was promoted to the position of Project Officer and served as an Acting District Manager from 2015 before assuming her current position in 2019. In her capacity as a District Manager, Funny is responsible for facilitating implementation of activities at district level, providing technical support to Project Officers, Field Officers and community volunteers. Funny is also responsible for conducting resource mobilization activities, coordinating and networking with stakeholders as well as compiling and reviewing activity and institutional reports.
Funny holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Development (ECD) and she has a Certificate in Child Care and Nutrition. Currently, Funny is studying towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.
Funny has also attended a number of capacity building exercises and she has a professional certificate in Integrated HIV/AIDS Prevention Care and Treatment, a Certificate in Community Based Counseling as well as a Para Counseling Certificate.
Funny, enjoys working with women and children and she is mostly passionate about economic empowerment of women and girls.
