Peterson Patel is a seasoned Broadcasting Technician with proven skills and experience in all three sections of Broadcasting Engineering thus Studio, Transmission and Maintenance.
He has worked with a number of broadcasters before joining YONECO FM in January 2017 as a Radio Technician.I have never risen to any position ever since joining the YONECO FM.
Among other things, on a day to day basis, Peterson monitors radio signal levels and transmission breakdown, supports both Production and On-air Studios related tasks, thus monitoring quality of signal going and out of the studios, recordings, editing and mixing of programs, news bytes, jingles and adverts.
Peterson also supports staff with all technical related issues be it electrical and electronics in nature within the Organization.
He has a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering obtained from the University of Malawi – The Polytechnic, a Certificate in Telecommunications Systems acquired from the Institute of Technology and Management (ITEM) and a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE).
He attended a short training course in Editing and Production organized by African Movie Magic Awards (AMMA), a short training course in Design, Installation, Troubleshooting and Maintenance of Solar Photovoltaic Systems organized by Mzuzu University certified by MERA and the other one organized by Malawi Business Coalition against HIV AIDS (MBCA) in HIV/ AIDS work place formulation policy.
Peterson has had a passion since way back to work with YONECO through its Radio because of its sound policy on youth empowerment and development, and I make sure I safeguard that in all activities related to my job.
