YONECO participated in a three-day 9th Rumphi Agriculture Fair that was held at the district’s ADMARC Depot from 4 to 6 September, 2025.
The event was held under the theme “The 9th District Agriculture Fair: Towards Commercialization and Economic Transformation through Smart and Sustainable Agricultural Systems.”
Speaking during the event, Senior Group Village Headman Chikalamba, who was the Guest of Honour, commended the organizers for what he described as a “beautiful, opportunity-driven and market-oriented event.”
“This year’s theme aligns with the government’s efforts in enhancing Agricultural Productivity and Commercialization,” said Honourable Chikalamba.
The fair served as a platform for farmers, agribusinesses, NGOs, and other stakeholders to showcase and sell various agricultural products and raw materials. From local produce to innovative farming tools, the event highlighted the growing potential of climate-smart and sustainable agriculture in driving rural economic transformation.
One of the notable highlights was the YONECO pavilion where patrons were engaged on various issues related to climate-smart agriculture. The guest of honour applauded YONECO’s efforts in supporting farmers with practical solutions and access to information.
