As part of its efforts to promote the right to quality healthcare for all, YONECO held an interactive session with 11 nursing students at Mangochi District Hospital.

The session, which was held on 7 October 2025, aimed to strengthen the students’ understanding of client-centred care and the role of empathy, ethics, and accountability in service delivery.

The discussion focused on various critical issues including how health workers can enhance build community trust and uphold human dignity in healthcare settings.

The discussion also focused on various systemic challenges that affect quality healthcare delivery like staff shortages, limited medical supplies and long waiting times.

The participants committed to providing their services in line with their professional training and expressed their gratitude to YONECO for the session, which they considered vital for improving positive health outcomes and patient satisfaction.
