On 14 October 2025, YONECO participated in the “Bridging Research and Impact” workshop that was organized by Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) and #GIZ in Cape Town, South Africa.
The convening brought together researchers, policymakers, and frontline organisations from across the #SADC region to share how evidence can inform effective responses to gender-based violence (#GBV).
The workshop prioritized critical research gaps such as technology-facilitated #GBV and school-based prevention programmes, with valuable input on scalable, evidence-based interventions.
For #YONECO, this engagement reaffirmed the need to ground our interventions in solid research and evidence.
As we move forward to advance the rights and protection of children, youth, and women, access to up-to-date and relevant evidence is essential for the formulation of impactful programmes and policy shaping.
