YONECO joined delegates from 26 countries in Senegal for the Second 2025 Local Solutions Campus, a global gathering organized by Foundation S in partnership with ENDA.
The event brought together Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and development partners to showcase and strengthen local innovations addressing global health and development challenges.
This year’s forum focused on rethinking leadership amid the global development financing crisis, highlighting the need for resilience, collaboration, and innovation in mobilizing local resources.
Participants also reviewed governance, financial management, and accountability systems within Foundation S grants.
The gathering concluded with panel discussions and exhibitions of local solutions, emphasizing interregional collaboration and scaling up impactful community initiatives.
YONECO is implementing the Making Communities Resilient to Climate-Induced Health Challenges Project in Machinga and Zomba districts with financial support from Foundation S. The project aims to enhance community capacity to manage climate-related health risks, promote sexual and reproductive health and rights (#SRHR) and mental health services, and improve food security and livelihoods.
