YONECO is conducting a three-day training for women-led community-based organizations (CBOs) in Phalombe and Machinga districts under its project on sustaining community movements for peacebuilding and humanitarian response in Malawi.

The initiative, funded by UN Women, aims to strengthen women’s participation in decision-making, conflict prevention, and humanitarian response across Phalombe and Machinga districts.

The training, held from 26th to 28th November 2025 at TA Kaduya Court, targets community members from TAs Kaduya and Nkhumba. It seeks to enhance participants’ knowledge of gender-sensitive conflict analysis, GBV prevention and response, and to promote coordination and collaboration among women-led organizations.

The sessions covered key topics including gender and peacebuilding, conflict prevention and mitigation, leadership and advocacy, GBV response, and humanitarian coordination.

Participants have actively engaged, sharing real-life examples of conflicts they have encountered and how they managed them.
