YONECO, Chitipa Police, and the District Social Welfare Office reached out to 1,500 learners at Isyalikira Primary School in Chitipa, empowering them with knowledge and skills to combat School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV).

The initiative is expected to strengthen child protection systems and reduce violence in schools across the district.
The session reached 1,560 learners, including 769 boys and 791 girls, and focused on child protection, learners’ rights, and the prevention of abuse and violence in schools.

Facilitators encouraged learners to report abuse, seek support from trusted authorities, and help promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
