On 21 July 2026, YONECO hosted a colourful closure ceremony for children enrolled in its Early Childhood Development (ECD) Programme at Ntaja in Machinga district.
The event celebrated the learners’ achievements and the successful completion of the academic year.
The ceremony brought together learners, parents, caregivers, and community members.
The ceremony featured lively performances, and awards were presented to outstanding children in categories such as good behavior, hygiene, active participation and time management.
The centre’s caregivers were also recognized for their dedication with various appreciation gifts.
A total of 43 learners have advanced to primary school, while 21 reception learners have successfully transitioned to nursery classes.
