MWAYI WETCHA Joined YONECO on 1st October 2018 as a Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biotechnology obtained from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), Bunda Campus.
Furthermore, Mwayi also obtained a professional certificate in Project Management for Development Professionals offered by APMG International (UK), and attended a short course in Bioinformatics which was organized by Blantyre Health Research and Training Trust (BHRTT) together with College of Medicine.
In his post as a Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant, he is responsible for monitoring of projects, data management, as well as data and report quality checks for projects and institutional reports.
Mwayi is passionate about working with the youth especially in the areas of HIV prevention, Family Planning as well as youth empowerment. He is passionate in this area as he believes that if we nurture the youth of today properly then we will have a great future for Malawi.
