Innocencia Mtalimanja joined YONECO in 2018 as a Nurse. In this capacity, Innocencia is responsible for; assessing patient health problems and needs, advising and monitoring of health trends of community members, collaborating and coordinating with key stakeholders in health, provide risk assessment and risk reduction on mental health and other health issues. Further to this, she also participates in regular performance reviews of various institutional interventions, supports data collection and management. Innocencia also develop and implement worksite plans for health interventions and deliver performance indicators across the assigned area as per the program work plan.
Innocencia is a holder of a Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing and Midwifery which she obtained from the University of Malawi, Kamuzu College of Nursing .
Innocencia is an enthusiastic advocate of girls and women’s health rights and promoting mental health awareness among young people.
