Patrick Makonde is currently a District Manager for Chikwawa. Patrick joined YONECO as Field Officer in Tithandizane Helpline Centre in Zomba. Patrict was later promoted to the position of Project Officer in Balaka district before attaining his current position of Acting District Manager.
In this capacity, Patrick is responsible for coordination and networking with district and community stakeholders. Furthermore, Patrick is also involved in planning as well as implementation of various programmatic activities at district level. Patrick is also involved in compiling institutional monthly, quarterly and annual reports as well as monitoring as well as providing technical support to Field Officers and Project Officers.
Patrick is a holder of Certificate in Youth development as well as a Diploma in Community Development which he obtained from the University of Kwazul Natal and Soche technical college respectively.
Patrick has undergone a number of capacity building sexercises which include: Training in Health communication for Managers, Social behavioral change communication (SBCC) Comprehensive community Scorecard, Financial Management, Child Protection, Documentation, Monitoring and Evaluation of Development Projects as well as Advocacy and Networking.
Currently Patrick is the chairperson for Chikwawa district Non-State Actors.
