YONECO, through its

office in Ntcheu district, has distributed 42 goats to young people who are living with HIV as a way of enhancing their nutritional and economic status.

Health authorities in the district have described the support as timely as it has been noted that many young people tend to default Antiretroviral (ARV) drugs when food is scare.

The activity was funded by Egmond Trust under Investing for impact against HIV and ADS among Young People.

Last year, YONECO, through the project, also supported Young People Living with HIV (YPLH) with various nutritional food stuffs like Soybeans, orange-fleshed potatoes as well as groundnuts.
