Sewenthe joined YONECO in 2004 up to date, Sewenthe as a District Manager before being promoted to her current position of  Programme Support Manager (PSM).

As a PSM, Sewenthe is responsible for overall supervision of five district offices in Malawi namely; Ntcheu, Balaka, Machinga, Mangochi, and Zomba District Office. Further to this, Sewenthe is also managing the following two projects; Marriage No Child’s Play and Investing for Impact in HIV and AIDS among Young People.

Sewenthe holds an Advanced Diploma in Rural and Community Development which she acquired under the Association of Business Manager and Administrators (ABMA). Currently, Sewenthe is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at DMI St. John the Baptist University.

Sewenthe is a certified trainer of Electoral Administration. In 2017, she was trained by the Ministry of Health as a trainer of Youth Friendly Health Services (YFHS) Providers and she has a vast experience in Community Score Card (CSC) approach.

Before joining YONECO, Sewenthe worked with Community Initiative Against Drug and Substance Abuse as a Counsellor from 2001 and 2002. Later in 2003, she joined Catholic Development Commission (CADECOM) where she worked up until 2004.
