Andrade Tasosa – Machinga
Andrade Tasosa holds a Certificate in Tropical Agriculture and a Certificate in Agriculture Extension from City &Guilds – United Kingdom and Certificate in Computer. He is Project Officer of Youth Net and Counselling (YONECO) since 2017 where he joined the organisation as a Field Officer and now he is working as a Project Officer. Andrade also has a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) in 2004. Andrade has been a Livestock Officer at S&A Farm in Beef production for one year in 2010 –2011. Tasosa has also worked as a Farm Manager at Joyce Banda Foundation Farms for one year in2011 – 2012. He worked as a Livestock Manager at Mpatsa Farms Limited in 2012 – 2013 and in 2013 – 2016 he worked as Livestock Officer at Blantyre Synod Health & Development Commission (Sakata Project).
Thomas Mwvala – Mchinji
Thomas Mvwala is a holder of Advanced Project Management from Frontline Institute in Zimbabwe and Certificate in Business Studies, Business Administration, Certificate in Project Operation and Economy. He is currently a Project Field Officer under Child Labour Elimination Action For Real Change (CLEAR) in Youth Net and Counselling in Mchinji District. His experience dates back in 2001 when he joined DAPP (International Organization) as a Project Leader. He has 10 years’ experience in Project Management. He has attended various trainings while working in Child Protection, Case Management, HIV Management and Soy Dairy establishment under Feed the Future. He is will very shortly enroll with Pentecostal University for a Degree Programme
George Mbizi Mlowoka – Rumphi
George Mbizi Mlowoka
George Mbizi Mlowoka Holds Diploma in Rural and community development obtained at Mzuzu Technical College, currently is working as Project Officer for Child Labour Elimination Action for Real Change (CLEAR) Project based in Rumphi District in the northern part of Malawi. He joined YONECO in 2009 as an Office/Resource center Assistant, among his works assigned to him was also facilitating life skills and counseling sessions to the children and youth at the Resource centre and youth clubs. His dedication commitment in working with children and young people saw him being promoted as a Project Officer for Youth in Action Project which was implemented in partnership with Save the Children, CRECCOM and Total Land care from 2012 to 2016 (4 years). George gained a lot of skills and knowledge in project planning, monitoring, budgeting, concept development, implementation, report writing and case study development which earned him the current position. His main job is implementing project activities on the ground among others facilitating withdrawal of children from child Labour and protecting children from different form of abuse and providing leadership guidance to the youth leaders while equipping them with life skills information. Initially has been trained as HIV/AIDS Trainer, Life skills facilitator, in counseling skills and psychosocial support, Human rights and child rights advocates and in early childhood development and recently he has been trained in social accountability and governance through Action Aid Malawi and NICE trust. George is currently holding the position of secretary for Rumphi civil society organizations network and facilitated the first ever public expenditure tracking survey for constituency development fund (CDF) among others George has been trained as a facilitator in child corner through ministry of Gender children and social welfare. Before joining YONECO George founded Care and Concern in Nkhata-Bay and worked as a youth worker and a field officer, he then joined Bible Society of Malawi where he worked as a District Coordinator for Nkhata Bay.
Wongani Mfune – Rumphi
Wongani Mfune Holds a Diploma in Rural and community development obtained at Mzuzu Technical College, currently is working as Field Officer for Yoneco Drop in Centre in Rumphi District in the Northern part of Malawi. He joined YONECO in 2014 as Internee, among his works assigned to him was also to facilitate life skills and counseling sessions to the children and youth at the Drop in center and youth clubs. His dedication commitment in working with children and young people made him promoted to a Field Officer position for Yoneco Drop in centre, his main job are to Facilitate Life skills sessions, Managing gender based violence cases and other cases, Monitoring and evaluating progress of projects, counselling sessions, Career Guidance sessions, Sexual Reproductive Health Sessions, focus group discussions and providing leadership guidance to the youth clubs among others. Wongani has been trained as Parenting circle facilitator, Psychosocial and Teen club Facilitator, and HIV/AIDS Counselor. Wongani once worked as District Information, Communication and Technology Officer (ICT) for ADMARC in Mzimba and Rumphi Districts.
Ellen Mvula – Mulanje
Ellen Mvula holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Social Work degree obtained from The Catholic University of Malawi in 2013. She participated in the The African Union Model Summit Programme from June 2010 to March 2011 at The Catholic University of Malawi. Ellen joined Youth Net and Counselling (YONECO) in December 2016 as a Projects Officer for Mulanje District working under the Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) Project.
Ellen’s role as a Projects Officer revolves around working directly with community members and district stakeholders. She responsible for developing monitoring tools and evaluation plan, budgeting for monitoring activities, assisting in project designing and providing technical support and advice to the programs team in project progress, ensuring that indicators and targets are met and outcomes are achieved as desired by project designs. Ellen particularly passionate about working with the Women and children. This is so because these are one of the most vulnerable groups in society.
Lauren Thokozani Piringu – Machinga
Lauren Thokozani Piringu
Lauren Thokozani Piringu holds a Bachelors Degree of Divinity in Theology from Zomba Theological College in 2015. She is a project officer of Youth Net and counselling (YONECO) since 2017. Lauren has a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) obtained in 2011.She got a certificate in HIV/AIDS Management and certificate of Conflict Management both obtained from Zomba Theological College in 2015. She has had a voluntary work at Youth Response for Social Change (Enhancement of social inclusion in Governance for Women Health and Sexual reproductive health funded by Tilitonse) in Nauchi- Machinga in 2015 and in 2016 she worked as a teacher at Dzukani Private Secondary school in Nsanama-Machinga. Lauren holds a certificate of SPSS and STATA data entry and a certificate in Project Management and Monitoring and Evaluation from Excellence Assured in 2018.
