On September 1, 2014, Kondwani Matope joined YONECO as a Radio Technician a post he is still holding to date.
As a Radio Technician he makes sure that YFM signal is always available and of high quality. Transmission fault finding and providing solutions, Production of radio programs, Adverts and editing of news bytes, maintenance of broadcasting equipment, handling of outside broadcast, Advising the radio producers and monitoring of the radio signal availability and its quality are some of the major activities he handle.
Kondwani has a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) which he obtained in 2009 at Malindi Secondary School in the city of Zomba.
He is a holder of a City and Guilds Diploma in Telecommunication and Electronics Engineering which was obtained in 2012 at The University of Malawi, The Polytechnic.
In 2020 Kondwani did an online course on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) under Unicef.
He would like to see YONECO FM growing into a leading radio station on the land. YFM covering the whole country with a good number of radio transmitters installed across the country.
