YONECO publicized its toll-free Gender Based Violence (GBV) Crisis Line (5600) and other GBV prevention and response services which the organization offers. Through a pavilion that was mounted at the venue, community members were able to ask questions about GBV and its manifestations.
Annually, the campaign commences on 25 November which is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until the Human Rights Day which falls on 10 December. The campaign is used as an organizing strategy by individuals and organizations around the world to call for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
The theme for this year’s 16 Days of Activism against GBV is, “Orange the World: Generation Equality Stands against Rape!”.
