In response to a call by Mchinji District Social Welfare (DSWO), YONECO conducted an awareness raising session about the dangers of drug and substance abuse at Kamuzu Primary School in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Zulu in the district.
According to Mchinji DSWO, the district is currently experiencing an increase in the number of drug and substance abuse among young people in the area. Thus, the office called on various stakeholders to intensify awareness campaigns in order to deal with the challenge.
