for YONECO in Mangochi Funny Chilembo managed to mobilize resources and support for a vulnerable household of six that has been living in dire poverty for two years after the demise of parents in Masi Village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Chowe, Mangochi District.
The oldest family member, who is 21 years old, approached YONECO through Funny Chilembo’s office in Mangochi. Thus, after a thorough household assessment, it was vindicated that the children have been living under very tough and unspeakable condition due to poverty. As such, Chilembo started mobilizing resources for the household.
Thus, through the initiative, the office realized cash amounting to MK 21,000. Other individuals also supported the initiative with clothes, beddings as well as assorted food stuffs and groceries le soap and cooking oil.
Further to this, YONECO has linked the household head to a local artisan and he is currently working as an apprentice in motor vehicle mechanics.
