In complementing government’s efforts in promoting of Early Child Development (ECD) activities in Malawi, has facilitated the establishment of various centres at community level and within its child Drop in Centres across the country.
A lot of children graduate from these ECD centres to enroll in various primary schools in their designated areas.
On 26 November, 2021, a total of 49 leaners (23 girls and 26 boys) graduated from Ntcheu ECD Centre which is part of YONECO’s Child Drop in Centre activities in the district.
YONECO’s Programme Support Manager, Sewenthe Mahwayo, urged all parents and guardians who attended the graduation ceremony to continuously protect their children from abuse. Mahwayo stated that parents need to ensure that the children are growing up in an environment that is free from all forms of abuse.
The learners also showcased a number of activities that characterized their journey to the graduation day. All the graduating leaners were awarded with certificates of attendance.
