In a bid to enhance the welfare of children at the Lilongwe Social Rehabilitation Centre (LCRC), students and the management of Malawi Assemblies of God University (MAGU) donated assorted items to the facility.
Among other things, the donated items include packets of Sugar, soya pieces, cooking oil, clothes, and various play materials.
The Leader of a delegation who is also a lecturer at the university, Yamikani Chikhwaza, explained that the donation is meant to contribute towards providing an opportunity to live a better life and pursue their dreams.
“As MAGU, we have an existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with YONECO which enables our students to acquire practical experience in social work and our engagement has opened our eyes to support children who reside at this centre,” explained Chikhwaza.
