Zomba District Council chairperson Brazio Chinthenga has called on the youth to desist from endangering their lives by engaging in immoral behaviours.

Speaking at Nsondole during this year’s commemoration of the international youth day at district level, Chinthenga cited excessive beer drinking and smoking as notable risks most young people engage themselves in.

“Time is now here for youths to make positive decisions towards their own future,” he said.

Speaking earlier, District Youth Officer for Zomba, Sophie Nzunga advised the youth to put into full use all the digital pathways on their disposal so that they move with time.

This year’s international youth day was commemorated under the theme: “Clicks for progress, youth digital pathway for sustainable development”.
