YONECO has distributed assorted non-food relief items to 22 children who have been displaced by floods in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Mponda in Mangochi district.
The gesture was in response to a call which education authorities in the area made to YONECO regarding the leaners who lost properly including school materials and uniforms in the flood floods.
Thus, YONECO mobilized some funds from the members of Mangochi District Executive Committee (DEC) who contributed a total of MK 84,000. The funds were used to purchase exercise books, pens, pencils and some footwear for the 22 leaners who have been affected.
