YONECO, in collaboration with the Chikwawa District Agriculture Office, conducted a hands-on training session for facilitators in cooking demonstrations under the Social Protection for Gender Empowerment and Resilience (SP-GEAR) project.
The training aimed to equip 23 Community-Based Trainers (CBTs) with essential skills in preparing nutritious meals. These trained CBTs will, in turn, share their knowledge with Savings and Loans Groups (SLGs) within their communities, promoting healthier eating habits among beneficiaries of the Social Cash Transfer Programme (SCTP).
The trained CBTs are expected to lead cooking demonstrations for SLG members and ensuring that the knowledge gained in the sessions is being cascaded to the wider community.
The cooking demonstrations will further reinforce the SP-GEAR project’s commitment to enhancing community well-being through sustainable and impactful development practices.
