YONECO, in collaboration with Youth-Friendly Health Service (YFHS) providers, conducted a Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) outreach activity at Chambo Evacuation Centre in Zomba.

The campaign, which targeted adolescent boys and girls, combined critical health education with engaging performances by young people from the area, including poetry, live drama and dance performances. These creative expressions helped to break down complex and sensitive issues and encouraged open discussions.

The outreach addressed various key topics, such as the prevention of HIV and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), the importance of reporting Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and the risks associated with teenage pregnancies.

The activity facilitators used various interactive methods to ensure that the targeted young people were able to comprehend the information and order to make informed decisions about their health.
