It is with a heavy heart that the Board of Trustees, Management and staff of Youth Net and Counselling (YONECO) regret to announce the untimely death of one of the institution’s longest serving members, Mr Charles Banda who passed on in the evening of 18 April, 2018. Until his death, the late Charles Banda was the Media Advocacy and Innovations Manager as well as the Station Manager for YONECO FM Radio Station.
The body of the Late Charles Banda will be laid to rest today at Chikolere Village in the area of T/A Msamala in Balaka district on 20th April, 2018.
The late Charles Banda is survived by a wife and three children, two sons and a daughter.
The late Charles Banda will be forever remembered for, among other things, his selfless contribution to national advocacy on human rights as well as mentoring of young people in social work. Further to this, the late Charles will also be remembered for his positive contribution towards elimination of child marriage in Malawi.
