The Executive Director of YONECO, MacBain Mkandawire, has joined various stakeholders in youth development at a two-day Multisectoral Youth Thematic Meeting which is currently underway at Sun ‘n’ Sand Holiday Resort in Mangochi district.
The meeting has been organized by HP+ in order to provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss game-changing strategies on how to contribute to the operationalization of the youth interrelated goals around health, education and youth skills development and gender.
YONECO has showcased its various virtual platforms that have been intensified to reach out to the youth in place of physical gatherings which are not viable due to COVID-19.
YONECO has showcased how Let’s Chill Mobisite (https://letschill.yoneco.org/) and the newly introduced toll-free Youth Helpline (393) are operating to contribute towards ensuring that the youth are productive as they safely transition to adulthood.
The meeting is being held under the theme ‘Harnessing the potential of our youth towards an inclusively wealthy and self-reliant nation’.
