In an effort to reduce various Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) challenges that young people face, YONECO has intensified Comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) sessions in its Youth Drop-in Centres (DYCs) across Malawi.
CSE aims at providing age–appropriate, and culturally relevant information about gender, sex, and sexuality. The sessions are expected to equip the youth with the necessary knowledge to make safe and informed decisions about their sexual health and well-being.
Currently, Chinamwali Youth DIC has been having CSE sessions with young girls and boys of various age groups who have also appreciated the positive impact which the sessions are having on their overall welfare.
This initiative is anticipated to contribute towards positive health outcomes for over 50,000 young people in different DICs in the country.
