YONECO participated in a district-wide clean-up exercise organized by the District Community Development Office that was conducted on 14 April, 2023.
This campaign was aimed at raising awareness about the importance of practicing good hygiene in public places in order to protect oneself and those around them from illnesses like cholera.
During the exercise, some streets were cleared of debris, waste was properly disposed of, and public toilets were sanitized. Additionally, users of public places were encouraged to adopt the best hygiene practices and to keep their surroundings clean at all times.
The exercise was a success, as it helped improve the overall cleanliness of the district and raised awareness about the importance of proper waste management.
