On 12 June, 2024, the Nsanje District Council introduced the Social Protection for Gender Equality and Resilience (SP-GEAR) project to members of the Area Development Committee (ADC) in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Ndamera.
The project aims to reduce vulnerability and enhance resilience among women, girls, and marginalized groups in the district.

During the meeting, the Chairperson for Ndamera ADC, Malick Ganizani, applauded the Malawi Government and its partners for initiating the project.
