Taxi Bicycle Operators (TBOs) at Mtowe Trading Centre have avowed to utilize the nature of their trade to raise awareness of Gender-Based Violence (#GBV) among their male customers. One of the TBOs at the Trading Centre, Thomas Nsona, explained that he transports an average of 32 customers a week.
Nsona highlighted that a lot of men will be reached if all the regular operators from the Trading Centre engage in the initiative.
The weeklong training of TBOs as Male Agents of Change in ending #GBV was concluded on 12 July 2024. The sessions were attended by approximately 13 TBOs.
