YONECO convened three-day workshop sessions with various key stakeholders in Dedza and Mchinji districts in a bid to develop strategies and action plans for ending child marriages and other Sexual Reproductive Health (SRHR) affecting adolescent girls in the districts.
The strategy development and action planning exercises were informed the issues that transpired from various community dialogue sessions which YONECO organized under Action for Adolescent Girls and Teen Mothers Project which is being implemented with funding from KOICA and UNFPA.
The workshops were held from 19 to 21 November, 2024 was attended by district stakeholders from the city society, Malawi Police Service, judiciary and officials from various sectors including health, gender, and education.
