YONECO many other partners of the Segal Family Foundation (SFF) in Malawi had an opportunity to learn and share knowledge and expertise during a Social Impact Incubator (SII) Expo that was held at Lilongwe Nature Sanctuary on 17 November, 2017.

With support from SFF, YONECO has refurbished some of its Youth Drop in Centres where young people are now accessing Youth Friendly Health Services. The Youth Drop in Centres have also been equipped with recreational facilities like Pool Tables, Table Tennis as well as various board games like Bawo and Chess. The intervention has also contributed towards reaching out to hard to reach young people with Sexual reproductive health services through outreach activities. The project has also strengthened parenting structures in the communities around the Drop in Centres on top of providing free education to older young people who are unable to read and write.

The Expo enhanced the engagement of representatives from various institutions to learn and share experiences in various areas of operation. Further to this, current and previous cohorts of the Social Impact Incubator showcased the various interventions they are implementing to contribute towards the development of people in the country.

The event was also covered live on YONECO FM radio Station.
