YONECO has deployed its helpline caravans to the areas that have been affected by Cyclone Idai in Malawi.
The teams are strengthening various community child protection systems and providing psycho-social support to children who have been affected. The teams are publicizing YONECO’s Child Helpline (116) and GBV Crisis (5600).
The caravans have also been deployed to raise awareness about child rights, ensuring that women and children as well as the youth, especially adolescent girls, are aware of all reliable and confidential reporting mechanisms.
The activities are being implemented in the affected communities and evacuation support from Unicef.
