Today, YONECO Head Office in Zomba hosted leaners from St Anthony Boys Primary School from Thondwe in the district.
The leaners who who are in Standard 2 to 7 of their studies were on a learning visit which was aimed at motivating them to work hard in school.
The leaners were briefed about YONECO’s general programming before they started touring various offices and departments.
Among other areas, the leaners visited YONECO FM studios as well as the Tithandizane Helpline Services which houses call centres for Child Helpline (116), GBV Crisis Line (5600), SADC Youth Helpline (393) as well as the Drug and Substance Abuse Hotline (6600). Earlier on, the boys also toured Malawi Defense Force (MDF) Zomba Airbase before their next stop at YONECO.
