Small things matter in enhancing social economic development of the youth, women and children. Happiness Chanunkha, our district facilitator establishes Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) in Zomba to empower women socially and economically. These groups are also avenues for discussing parenting issues, Gender Based Violence (GBV), HIV and AIDS, as well as personal growth and development. In addition to this, adult literacy is also integrated in the systems.
Chanunkha is among the District Facilitators who directly work with various groups of the youth and women in order to collectively address various factors that hinder them from realizing their goals. Currently, YONECO has offices in various districts across Malawi where innovative women and youth economic activities are being implemented.
