Today, our team in Rumphi district conducted an awareness session on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) at Jata Private Primary School in Rumphi district.
The session was aimed at ensuring that children are aware of various forms of SGBV in a bid to ensure that they should report such issues when they occur. It is suspected that most SBGV cases go unreported because children whose rights are violated do not have enough information about such kind of abuses.
As YONECO, we also believe that children should be sensitized about the dangers of SGBV so that they should not become perpetrators of the vice as they transition into adulthood.
