YONECO conducted a session on Disaster Risk Management (DRM) with members of Wildlife Club Primary School in Ntcheu district.

The session was aimed at informing the learners on how they can contribute towards addressing issues of climate change as well as disaster risk reduction and management. The leaners were urged to plant more trees and take care of them as one way of dealing with climate change.

The learners were oriented on how to make firebreaks around as one way of protecting trees.

At the end of the session, the patron of the wildlife club requested YONECO to support the school with seedlings for the leaners to plant in the next tree planting season.

A total of 25 leaners attended the session of which 11 were girls and 14 were boys.
