On 13 November, 2022, YONECO’s Tithandizane Helpline Services Department conducted a Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) awareness session at Sogoja Village in the area of Taditional Authority (T/A) Mwambo, Zomba.

The awareness session was organized in a bid to enhance the welbeing of community members through increased uptake of HIV Testing Services (HTS) and other SRHR services. Thus, the session targeted both the youth and older community members.

During the session, community members were encouraged to adopt healthcate-seeking behaviours. Community leaders from the area bemoaned that most community members die from treatable diseases because they shy away from seeking healthcare support.

In addition to this, parents were encouraged to take up their rightful roles in raising their children.

In total, the session was attended by 88 people of which 58 were females and 30 were males.
