The function was attended by heads of various government departments, leaders of various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), traditional leaders, and Members of Parliament among others.
YONECO Cultural Troupe and other community artists spiced up the event with plays, as well as traditional songs and dances that added to the celebratory ambiance of the event.
International Women’s Day is globally commemorated on 8 March every year to celebrate the various social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.
