Building Education Foundations through Innovation and Technology (BEFIT) is a programme that is aimed at enhancing the reasoning as well as numeracy and literacy skills of standard 1 to 4 primary school learners.
As one of the implementing partners of the project (BEFIT), we facilitated an orientation of various education authorities in the usage and management of ICT gadgets which learners will be using in the intervention. The session was conducted at Lura Teacher Development Centre (TDC) in Rumphi district.
During the session, participants were drilled in tablet preparation, troubleshooting, and the provision of ICT support to learners.
Further to this, the training is a precursor to future school-level training sessions as the participants are expected to share the knowledge and skills they acquired with teachers from their respective areas.
