On 11 April 2025, YONECO reached 1,346 learners with Gender-Based Violence (#GBV) awareness messages during a session that was held at Mulanje Primary School in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Mabuka, Mulanje district.

The session was part of the activities marking the end of the school term and was conceptualized in anticipation of children spending more time at home during the two-week holiday.

The learners were also informed about various child abuse and GBV reporting mechanisms, which include YONECO’s Tithandizane toll-free Helplines – #116, the Child Helpline, and #5600, the GBV Crisis Line.
