YONECO, through its office in Ntcheu district, conducted a session with adolescent girls and young women on Gender Based Violence (GBV) issues in the context of Covid-19 pandemic.
The activity was aimed at identifying the challenges that have been brought about by Covid-19 and finding possible ways of dealing with such issues. The activity provided a safe platform for the targeted groups of people to openly talk about GBV amidst Covid-19 and how it has affected them.
The activity was also facilitated by officers from the Ntcheu Police Victim Support Unit and gender officers from the Department of Social Welfare Services.
