YONECO, in in collaboration with Mulanje Police Station, conducted a crime prevention meeting in the area of Group Village Head (GVH) Mgumera, Traditional Authority (T/A) Juma in Mulanje district.
The meeting focused on various criminal activities that are prevalent in the area including mob justice, Gender Based Violence (GBV) including defilement, forced child marriages as well as aiding or abetting criminals.
During the function, the Malawi Police Service distributed security equipment such as reflective jackets and whistles to community policing forums. Further to this, the session also focused on promoting various reporting mechanisms.
